About Our Organization
Huntsman Cancer Foundation (HCF) was founded in 1995 with a generous gift from the Huntsman family to build and support the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). One family cannot do it alone, which is why we rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and community groups. All Huntsman Cancer Institute fundraising initiatives occur through HCF, which is a functionally integrated Type III supporting organization for the University of Utah's Huntsman Cancer Institute, 501(c)(3) public charity. While the Institute bears the "Huntsman" name in light of the substantial contributions it receives from the Huntsman family, the Institute is a division of the University of Utah Health Sciences.
