General Guidelines:
- Contact the HCF office at least 90 days in advance of event
- HCF must approve all use of the HCI or HCF logo in advance of printing
- Donors should make checks payable to Huntsman Cancer Foundation
- HCF will provide counsel, letterhead and use of logo only after event consultation and approval (see detail below)
- HCF cannot provide public relations support, staff support, "seed money" or financial support or access to mailing lists
- HCF cannot support fund-raising for an individual's medical bills
What Huntsman Cancer Foundation can provide with at least 90 days notice:
- Letter on official HCF letterhead for the sponsoring organization to use in its fund-raising and sponsor recruitment efforts. Letter includes tax-exempt information
- Advice for volunteers/event organizers re: fund-raising, public relations, marketing, etc.
- Information re: current research at HCI (possibly specific to a certain type of cancer, e.g. colon cancer or leukemia) for distribution at the event or for public relations efforts conducted by the sponsoring organization
- Camera-ready artwork (HCF logo)
- Prior to printing, HCF must review all event materials
What Huntsman Cancer Foundation may be able to provide (depending on schedules/type of event, etc.):
- An HCF representative to participate in a check presentation at the event
- An HCF representative to set up a booth/table at the event to answer basic questions
- A letter of thanks to event's donors
What Huntsman Cancer Foundation cannot provide:
Financial support (e.g. upfront money)
Mailing lists
Public relations support
Staff support (e.g. gift-processing, event organizing, recruiting of event sponsors/participants/volunteers)
